About this event
The Vehicle Close Quarters Battle (VCQB) course is an intensive two-day program tailored for law enforcement officers who may encounter violent engagements in and around vehicles. This dynamic course combines advanced tactics, real-world scenarios, and essential medical training to prepare officers for one of the most dangerous and unpredictable environments: vehicular engagements. Participants will gain the confidence and skill to survive and dominate complex vehicle-based encounters.

Real-World Vehicle Engagement Scenarios:
Train for scenarios such as ambushes, felony traffic stops, and high-risk extractions.
Learn how to engage threats effectively from inside, around, and outside vehicles while using them as cover.

Injured Shooter Drills:
Simulate engagements while managing injuries, such as operating one-handed or while under duress.
Practice maintaining composure and effectiveness when wounded or assisting an injured partner.

Basic Medical Training:
Learn how to apply a tourniquet (TQ) under stress and manage critical injuries sustained during vehicle engagements.
Understand the basics of casualty care in hostile environments and integrate medical procedures into tactical scenarios.

Tactical casualty care: applying a TQ, stopping bleeding, and managing shock

Immediate action drills for vehicle ambushes and high-risk stops
Required Equipment:

Duty-issued pistol and rifle
-
3 magazines for each weapon system
-
600 rounds of pistol ammunition and 500 rounds of rifle ammunition

Duty belt or patrol rig

Soft body armor (required)

Eye and ear protection

Gloves for vehicle interaction and shooting

Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear

Personal Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) with a tourniquet
