Mastering the Red Dot Sight (RDS) is essential for today’s responsible gun owner. Whether you’re carrying for personal defense or looking to improve your range performance, this course will build the confidence and skill needed to take full advantage of your red dot-equipped handgun. You’ll learn how to increase your speed, accuracy, and efficiency through proven techniques and hands-on training.
From zeroing your optic to shooting on the move, transitioning between multiple targets, and engaging at various distances, this course covers the full spectrum of red dot pistol use. Expect a mix of technical instruction and fast-paced drills designed to sharpen your reflexes and refine your shooting mechanics.
No matter your experience level, this course will challenge you to level up and leave with practical, real-world skills that translate directly to self-defense and personal readiness.

Required Equipment

Duty Gear:
Issued sidearm with red dot sight (RDS) installed
Backup iron sights (mandatory)
At least 3 magazines and magazine pouch
Duty holster compatible with RDS-equipped pistol (must have retention)
Full duty belt/tactical loadout (normal work setup)

500 rounds for issued sidearm

Eye and ear protection (mandatory)
Cleaning kit and gun lubricant
