ALERRT Solo Officer Rapid Deployment (SORD)
About this event
In high-stakes situations where every second counts, the Solo Officer Rapid Deployment (SORD) course empowers law enforcement officers to act decisively and independently to stop active threats. This course is specifically designed for solo officers—whether off-duty, in plain clothes, or in uniform—who may be the first and only responder to an armed threat, such as an active shooter. Through intensive live-fire training and force-on-force scenarios, you’ll develop the skills, tactics, and mindset necessary to effectively isolate, distract, or neutralize the threat before backup arrives.
This dynamic course teaches critical intervention techniques for solo engagements, ensuring that officers understand not only how to eliminate the threat but also how to avoid potential “blue on blue” shootings and manage post-engagement priorities. From room entry techniques and threshold evaluations to incident management after the threat is neutralized, ALERRT SORD prepares you to make life-saving decisions under pressure.
